RICCOBONI AT THE OTTOBRE ALESSANDRINO FILM FESTIVAL

After the success of the first edition, “Ottobre Alessandrino – Mese del Cinema” is back with a packed programme of events which will spread far and wide into every corner of the city of Alessandria from 27th September until 1st November.

How the Riccoboni Group is supporting

This year’s film festival, supported by the Riccoboni Group, includes over 90 events in 30 different locations, with a total of one hundred guests, an increase in numbers from 2024, proving the growing interest in the festival and the commitment by Ottobre Alessandrino to offering an increasingly comprehensive programme aimed at different target audiences.

As part of the cinema programme, on Thursday 9th October at 6:30 pm, the docufilm “Le Radici del Futuro” [The Roots of the Future] will be shown at Confindustria Alessandria, which was made to mark Riccoboni’s 60th anniversary: a story that goes back over sixty years of work, innovation and sustainability, showing how the Riccoboni Group is now an Italian model of excellence. It is an intimate, family story which also goes nationwide.

Entry is free until all the seats are full.

The stars of Ottobre Alessandrino

Screenings, meetings, talks, concerts, round tables, live performances, children’s workshops and master classes will all feature much loved celebrities (among many others).

There is much anticipation about the journalist Cecilia Sala, the actors Enzo Decaro, Anna Foglietta, Valerio Mastandrea and Cochi Ponzoni, as well as the director of the Venice International Film Festival, Alberto Barbera, who will speak about “his Festival”. Plenty of space will be given to directors who will talk with the Alessandria public: from Lamberto Bava to Mimmo Calopresti, from Saverio Costanzo to Maurizio Nichetti and Silvio Soldini, even including Giovanni Tortorici, the science communicator Dario Bressanini and the singer-songwriter Vinicio Capossela who will bring the festival to a close with the concert “Ad Mortem Festinamus” on 1st November at Teatro Alessandrino, a performance specifically conceived and created for this occasion. There will obviously also be an additional focus on the seventh art thanks to the participation of major film critics with the likes of Steve Della Casa, Roberto Lasagna and Giorgio Simonelli.

A growing festival

Under the artistic direction of Roberto Lasagna together with its creator Luca Ribuoli and coordinated by the Alessandria Film Festival (ALFF), “Ottobre Alessandrino - Mese del Cinema” will once again turn Alessandria into a lively, multidisciplinary cultural hub, bringing the whole region to take part both from inside and outside the city.

As Ilaria Riccoboni, the Group’s communications manager, emphasised at the Ottobre Alessandrino press conference, “We are here to once again show our commitment to supporting events, festivals and sports clubs so we can contribute towards regional growth, integration and social processes. The “Ottobre Alessandrino” film festival features a series of unmissable events that explore the world of the seventh art. We also wanted to contribute to the programme with the docufilm we made to mark our 60th anniversary, which shows the generational journey of a business like Riccoboni. We will have a preview here in Alessandria after the screenings in Rimini for our key trade show, Ecomondo, and in Rome, where we are short-listed for the Premio Film Impresa” [Corporate Film Awards].
