Eco.Impresa S.r.l. is an environmental services company specialised in waste collection, transportation and management in the Apulia region and throughout Italy. In business since 1995, it has its headquarters on the premises of the multi-purpose industrial waste treatment hub located in Ostuni (Brindisi) with which it shares a name. It also runs a modern chemical analytical testing laboratory from within the same facility, to test incoming wastes and correctly classify the waste being processed.

The company joined the Riccoboni Holding Group in 2015, becoming its specialised hub for Southern Italy. Immediately afterwards, it underwent a major expansion which, in addition to the creation of the laboratory, included equipment updates and improvements to the processes it supports. It currently is equipped with two hazardous and non-hazardous waste crushing systems and an “Extra Stabsol” inertisation plant consisting of a ploughshare mixer with a capacity of 8 tons/hour controlled by a PLC, capable of working to the specifications of predetermined recipes, in batches or continuously.

The hub boasts particularly advanced air purification management, outfitted as it is with not only a particulate abatement system equipped with baghouse filter and an organic materials abatement system that uses activated carbon filtration, but also with a biofilter for odour abatement.

The facility is also equipped with a system for scrubbing the exhaust fumes from the mechanised equipment used in closed environments before it is discharged into the atmosphere.

All of the buildings and outdoor operations areas are built on reinforced concrete slabs. Rainwater is collected in a storage tank and purified by means of physico-chemical treatment before being introduced into a receiving body (subirrigation).

It has also enrolled in the voluntary Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), with registration number IT-001634, in order to provide organisations, regulating authorities and the public with a recognised and transparent tool with which to evaluate its environmental performance.

The company's processes are certified under the UNI EN ISO 9001 quality management system. It also holds environmental management certification UNI EN ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certification.

Eco.Impresa Srl is authorised by Autorizzazione Integrata Ambientale (Integrated Environmental Authorisation), Provvedimento Dirigenziale di Autorizzazione n. 104 del 10/10/2022.

It is registered with number BA/00152 in the Albo Nazionale Gestori Ambientali (National Register of Environmental Managers) for the following categories:

  • 1 (collection and transportation of municipal and other similar waste) class F,
  • 4 (collection and transportation of non-hazardous special waste) class C;
  • 5 (collection and transportation of hazardous special waste) class D,
